My Maori is a bit rusty, but looking at it again, I think you have not one, but two too many 'y' s - their alphabet has no 'y' in it.

Will have to get NZHorn on the job when he wakes up. :)

I dont speak any Maori (the closest i come to that is the name of my ex (which means bark/flower of the tree)) but i have found this on the new zealand tourism site.

Tis quite funny that the Maori claims to be native of NZ have been disputed in some quarters , there was an older tribe called the Moriori the Moari came along and took over! The original tribe was found to be on the Chatham islands

Geneticists have apparently proven, via DNA, that we all come from the same man - an Etheopian. Not sure how I feel about that one - does it mean that I could, after all, have played international football? :)

It begs the question though - where did he come from?

The big clubs need to realise that they cant do any of that if they do not have the fans to watch them in the first place. They have to take care of the fans first and foremost and forget about making money. No football clubs primary objective should be profit maximisation, they have to take the The New Capitalist’s View which says that the stakeholders are the managers of the business not the owners or profit!

Sheer unadulterated greed! Not content with having broken away from the FL in order to get more money, they are now looking to crucify 'their own'. I suppose it's too forlorn a hope that the other 14 clubs mentioned band together and oust them. <grr>

I now find myself with the strange thought that, if Dyche wins us promotion, I'll be calling for his head! :(

i'm afraid that, although we all think that way, the big club owners don't. Football is changing, it's not a game anymore, it's a business, it's all about money and it's very sad.
