Apparently 14 PL clubs need to agree for it to be possible, Man United and Chelsea are opposing the idea as they have more class than Liverpool, so no chance it's allowed anyway which is great news.

The reason Liverpool want this is that they think it would help them relive glory days. Selfish and untrue as they need to spend more than a few million.

Let's hope so, at the end of the day clubs like Wigan and Swansea have earned the right to be the PL, so therefore have earned the right to Premier League TV deals. would love to see what would happen if they carried this out and then got relegated.

Well, you haven't won any more EPL trophies than us, and we may have a winless streak, we don't have the perception of being arrogant bin-dippers

No should never happen and Liverpools owners should be ashamed of themselves for even suggesting it. Is it like this in America by any chance? I could see how it would work there because of the way their sports systems operate. But as evidenced by Spain it does not work in football. All you get is uncompetitive leagues with an ever increasing chasm between top and bottom. Strange that Liverpool want it because in the short term they'll only fall further behind the likes of Man U. That being the case they'd fall forever behind them in the long term. Its just a stupid idea from people who understand jack all about football, and only see £ signs. These guys are basically the leeches on our game that have no long term interest in the future of the game. Otherwise they would not suggest things that although financially beneficial to a select few including themselves, would be detrimental to the most important part, the football. Nah I think we'll stick with competitive leagues, thanks very much you greedy twats.
