honestly, no, not in the way people think, as in oppression from khomeini. For example India has less restrictions on students to the US/Britain than say pakistan due to relationship/embargo's/sanctions to say that pakistan prevents its students partaking in scientific studies is imo wrong. The restrictions are external and forced not by pakistan My understanding is that in both Iran and Pakistan the scientists in charge of the nuclear programmes were US educated and under the so called oppressive regimes of khomeini and zia
Because belief in fantasy as an adult is considered quite the mental health problem. Why would you like to bomb Israel? Also some people believe its ok to **** a 4 year old. others believe chopping kids up will bring them wealth. Some people believe an alien came to earth and thats why we are here. Some believed the earth was flat. Belief is a very dangerous and often stupid thing. treat with caution.
Be honest here people.... Are there really people, alive today, educated in todays modern classrooms who believe the creationist stuff? I mean really? Not just a made up hill billy type character in some american show? Really?
no, i never questioned it, i said it i said there is no 100% proof that ape became man. i think though you are confusing two issues 1- evolution 2 - abiogenesis evolution does not explain how we came into being. we being the universe etc using evolution to reject creation and god is ludicrous imo
Evolution proves god didnt create life. The first life didnt even breath oxygen but instead released it as a waste gas. This at first turned top iron ore until eventually filling the atmosphere. oxygen can support far more complex life than carbon dioxide ( the stuff the first life forms breathed ) and thus started a chain reaction and explosion of life on earth ( relatively speaking, it took 1000s of years ). Man and prime-ape split millions of years ago. before that (30million years ago ) apes and monkeys split.
well put simply there are 2 'theories' to creation 1 - abiogenesis = means the coming into existence of life from non-life by natural processes. 2 - god = the coming into existence of life from non-life by supernatural processes. What distinguishes a supernatural process from a poorly understood process?
no it doesnt evolution has nothing to do with the existence or not of god how did we get here that is the question not what we did once we got here
Evolution doesn't prove that there's no god or that god didn't create life. It's highly inconsistent with the creation stories of most religions, but a lot of theists that accept evolution don't take those stories literally.
This I believe that evolution is the most likely method of how we are here today. I don't think that the beginning of life was spontaneous, though. I heard somewhere that the odds of the various elements arranging themselves into amino acid structures, and through that forming life forms is of the order of 1 in 10 to the power of 40,000. That is almost infinitely big, there are only 10 to the power of about 630 subatomic particles in the entire universe. It's just way to improbable that life began by itself. Also, consider the big bang theory (that I also believe to be true). If the entire universe began from one infinitely small singularity, where did that come from?
