I believe you asked him whether his mother tickled his balls and he said no. How is that not an answer?

    Typical, arrogant Liverpool.

Nobody wants to watch their dull, rubbish football anyway. Manu, Arsenal, Chelski, Spurs, City would gain over them.

Liverpool are anti - football. I say chuck them out of the football league along with Leeds and stick Rangers in the place of Liver and Celtic in place of Leeds.

Because Liverpool have come out publicly and backed the idea it doesn't mean other clubs haven't looked into the possibilities for doing this.

I'm a bit surprised Liverpool have broken rank on this one. I would have expected 4 or 5 chairmen to come together and announce it. The likes of Abramovich, Glazier and Kronke must be laighing their heads off because all the flack will come Liverpool's way now.

I donlt think it's great but it was inevitable.

    This will happen eventually.

Real Madrid & Barcelona make staggering money from their TV deals - all the top clubs will follow suit. This UEFA financial fair play wotsit is forcing clubs to look for a way to increase their income from other sources.

There will be a European Super League sometime soon featuring all the mega-money clubs that get their own TV deals. There will still be the Premier League but Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool & Arsenal will all **** off to the new Super League leaving the others to fight over what is left.

I suppose with our support there may be a chance of Newcastle United launching our own channel but I really don't know what our potential viewing figures are like.

Bottom line is there is no stopping the more popular clubs - football is a world-wide brand and most clubs will 'miss the bus' as far as TV deals are concerned.

The PL will become secondary and the mega-money clubs will vanish into the distance.

The smaller domestic clubs will have to go part-time or out of business all together - it's a shame that local people don't support their local club.
I walk around Plymouth and am shocked at the lack of local shirts being worn - It's all the usual suspects i'm afraid.

    All very sad but true.

I disagree with those saying it's inevitable, to make this happen the FA will have to scrap their "majority rules" system on votes and I simply can't see them getting away with something that scandalous, it would no longer be a democratic system (if it is already). The premier league IS more competitive than any other league which makes it the best league. Would the FA want to change that for one club? No. Even Alex Ferguson says it would be unfair and he's one of the people you would expect to support these proposals.
