    Horse racing fans always say its fine because 'the horse enjoys it' which is rubbish. They whip the horses, they get injured and put down etc. The grand national is a particular disgrace. We got rid of disgusting things like fox hunting, dog fighting etcc horse racing should be next.

    There will always be bad people in every walk of life, but the vast majority of people in racing love horses and they get treated better than some humans. You have no idea what you are talking about.

    If you're not going to race horses, what would you do with them? They're redundant as a mode of transport/labour-saving aid, and I don't reckon they'd be much good at sniffing out drugs. Good for painting pictures of though I suppose, so I say keep 'em.

    You any idea how powerful a horse is? When in full flight, i dont think a flick of a padded whip is going to do much to them. The horses are bred to run, they are running machines, the product of hundreds of years of unatural selection.

    Watch this and tell me Giants Causeway dosent want to battle all the way to the line.

    if a padded whip isn't going to do much to them, why have them? also..not very powerful. about 1 horse power.
