She's just buried them cops, good on her! Refused to allow a qualified paramedic to administer medical attention, also refused to take medical instructions from her to aid Mr Floyd. Absolutely disgusting.
Who needs the Live feed of the court case when ya got Brb good work on the up to dates bru havent watched it today but sounds like it’s been interesting
Not watched the kids giving evidence. Bit too much that. But didn't mind watching the martial arts guy, and this female trained paramedic, clear evidence condemning that arsehole cop or coppers should I say, because they all allowed it to happen as well.
Wait for the plea bargaining just before the Jury go out Temporary insanity with a discharge from the police force and a specified jail sentence If he ends up in a prison containing convicted drug dealers, picking up a bar of soap will be the least of his worries In one way the other cops are even more guilty as they could have saved the situation and their careers but preferred just to watch it unfold
The other 3 cops (2 on Floyd and 1 in front of people) could easily of stopped all this. I just don't understand why they didn't, this is well fooked up. It really seriously brings into question, what is going on in these police units.
Possibly stress from tying to Police a population that contains more have nots than haves Unlike here they dont have many safety nets for the poor and it is easier to be a career criminal than fight the system
I wouldn't agree with that. There was four cops, all armed (I assume). The crowd remained on the pavement most of the time. An EMT offered help, she was told not to get involved. It now appears the paramedics that arrived were instructed to carry out a 'load and go' - but why, did the cops know they had killed him? Are they seriously trying to claim there was public disorder. The EMT has just stated she does not believe the response times the defence is quoting, what happened in regards to the paramedics and later a fire truck were all abnormal in regards to timings. Something has happened to try and cover the arses of these cops.
Cops are armed in America, so can the public be, that is different to the UK I agree. I can't comment socially, because I don't know if deprivation is worse than the UK. I can only assume it might be, as I don't think they have a social security and NHS system like us, along with being a massive population difference, in that we are 70 million and they are over 300 million. Guns I agree are always a threat on an emergency response in America, but I saw no threat to the cops in the killing of GF, other than raised angry voices, which were due to them ignoring the concerns of the general public.
End of day. EMT (witness) just got a bollocking from the judge for arguing with the defence. Good on her, but she needs better support and guidance from the prosecution.
Emotions are not allowed in the courtroom, and you can only answer the question as it is presented to you Worst one is when you are instructed to answer yes or no to a question that cannot be answered yes or no
I think the prosecution need to up their game. Witnesses are doing just fine, but getting let down by the legal team I feel. Someone caught taking photos in court
From the footage I have seen that was not a threatening volatile crowd ... more just a collection of individuals looking on in disbelief, despair and horror at what they are witnessing...
Because the culture of yank police is to back your colleagues no matter what, bleed blue and all that ****e. Been like that forever and because its never been challenged properly its festered and become rotten to the core. If you recall the dispatcher when calling the sgt with her concerns, what did she say 1st to him? "you can call me a snitch but...." There ya go
As you rightly note, there was no threatening crowd: Number 3 in your pic is a young child, that was sent in the shop to avoid her witnessing what was occuring. Number 1 in the pic is Donald Williams, MMA and general Martial Arts expert, knows all about air chokes and blood chokes, he told the cop at the time he was using a blood choke. Hence why he become confrontational, he knew the cop was killing the guy. Number 6 in the picture is Genevieve Hansen, she is an EMT Emergency Medical Technician, she offered to attend to George but was told not to get involved, she also offered to talk them through giving medical assistance to George. In court she got told off, basically in short for speaking up for herself. Everyone there was trying to help, the cops weren't listening, so the crowd needed to become more assertive. Each time they returned to the pavement when told to do so. One person did turn up that might have been deemed as a threat, but Donald Williams intervened and sent him away.
19 year old male cashier working at the store where GF was killed outside is giving evidence. He stated (not exact words) Mr Floyd appeared high when he served him, and had one conversation with him about baseball, inside the store. He said the victim was what would be deemed as coherent but took his time to respond to a question, from which he determined George's well-being.
