Take a trade deal that we had via the EU, remove all the crap parts about protecting French grapejuice producers and reams of paperwork, get the other country to agree it. That seems a reasonable enough shortcut rather than wasting years on rehashing previous negotiations.

If we join the CPTPP, the Remainers will not be able to trundle out their usual complaint about us leaving the largest trading bloc in the world (the EU) because it will be exposed as a lie. The CPTPP covers more people and a larger geographic area; and is where the future is – not dwindling protectionist Europe.

 

Good riddance. If you hate this country that much, go and live in another one. Take all the whinging Remainers with you – including Thornberry. You may struggle with a new language since you cannot spell ‘fullness’ in your old one.
