Three bumpers tomorrow and the ones I like are as follows; 5:30 Fakenham HEARTBREAKER 5/2 Michael Bell runner in a bumper, whats not to like. 5:20 Warwick PEACE RIVER 33/1 Ran very green in a decent looking bumper on debut when weak in the market. From a nice family so really should improve with the experience under his belt and at the price I think he is worth a small EW. 5:5o Warwick HURRICANE BAY 9/2 Will definitely have learned a lot when a big eyecatcher on debut, sure to give a good account in the weaker of the two divisions.
Newcastle 4.20 Style Nelson Has hinted a bit of promise in 3 of 4 runs this season and was unlucky when fell 2 runs ago at Musselburgh(still in with chance at that point). Up in trip to 2 m 7 f tomorrow could be what he needs. Mark down 4lb.Decent conditional booked with Kieran Buckley. The Rose Dobbin yard is in good form recently (2 winners 3 places last 14 days). Should run well for each way purposes I think.
17:20 Warwick - Party Business (Acquitted himself well on first two bumper starts. Hopeful will do even better at third time of asking. 8/1 best price at time of writing.)
2:50 Fakenham; Red Inca if running it's best could be close, but with only one start (2 weeks ago) since Sept '19 that's doubtful... Game In The Park has only raced twice in the last two years too, one of them an ok Chase debut and the other a poor enough effort 3 weeks ago, doesn't look to have done too well in it's point to points before so I can't understand how this horse is 3/1... Court Jurado seems to have struggled with getting his nose in front in a few poor races, eventually getting it's first win since it's first start in a point to point, he has finished 2nd on nearly too many times to count so I'm hoping that the 6lb rise might relegate him back to placing 2nd... Cagliostro ran in a C&D race at this course last month finishing about 14 lengths behind my selection Khanisari. Khanisari is still a maiden, but had looked like it improved a lot in it's last race against a horse that went on to win 2 more races since I think... He was beaten 19L that day but Kap Auteuil has gone up a total of 24lbs since that day just over a month ago and at 7/2 looks like ok value for me against the favourite...
Newcastle 1.30 The Resdev Way I like the bottom weight in this. Has run well at Newcastle on the flat in the past and is attractively handicapped. 3 of 9 in a jumpers bumper over 2 m 4 f at this track 2 runs ago. Drop back to 2 m today should suit. Stable amongst the winners recently.
I like the look of Greenrock Abbey in the 1:50 at Fakenham, hasn't completed a round out of two attempts, in with a shout when he fell two out the first day and fell at the first 2 weeks ago... At 9/1 his price definitely reflects that but he won a point to point so surely he's good enough to get around at least once He got around... Just ran out of steam over the last 2 furlongs...
Shouldn't have doubted Red Inca! Wow... Ran absolutely brutal... Had no chance after about 4 furlongs... Jockey couldn't get the horse to do anything... When it finally switched on about 2 furlongs out it came home like an absolute machine, this horse has to have a race in him at some stage... If the horse is bothered enough to switch on to win it
17:50 Warwick - Sidewaysinmilan (In this second division of the bumper, Stick's selection, Hurricane Bay, might well end-up favourite as Jersey might require a longer distance, on breeding that is? Think above has a squeak as it was second in a couple of Irish P2P's, and showed just a bit in first race under Rules. Very modest e/w. See best price atm is 12/1, but I won't get that!)
Cheers. Did you see it? Its a huge great big boat of a horse and you can see why it has missed out on having a flat career. Absolutely bolted up there and the 7/2 was a gift that you rarely see the bookies dish out!
Yes I watched the race stick..did it well. Backed it single but also in a double with Hurricane which ran well
