Excellent and with the added bonus of virtually no mention of Leeds Utd.

    Or Sheff Wed

That Boro team of 73/74 was the best 2nd tier outfit I've seen.

About the same as a documentary of Julius Caesar not mentioning Rome. Absurd comment.

This humour bypass op of yours, did you go private or was it on the Canadian Health Service?

The Jack Charlton programme was an emotional tour around some massive subjects - the nurturing of positive national pride, the tragedies of dementia and alcoholism, the complexity of family relationships, the elation that football can bring. Well worth a watch.

As far as I'm aware they are 're-showing it on Weds 7th April @ 11.30pm.

I missed it(all, bar the last 5 minutes) myself last night due to backshift but Il'll catch it 2nd time round.

    It really was.

I wonder, was there a series in there, each episode focusing on one of those elements.

Focusing in more depth on the relationship between Jack and Paul McGrath, for example, would have been fascinating.

The idea that Jack had a role in changing the mindset of the Irish towards the English, building Irish national confidence and influencing the Peace Process was also worth pursuing.

Anyone watching the George Floyd trial on court tv?
It should come with a warning, it's a difficult watch. Brought tears to my eyes, I don't mind admitting.

Agreed, all huge subjects worthy of exploring yet tigerscanada thinks it absurd Jack's playing days at Leeds were edited out?

Your flippant comment about "... added bonus of hardly mentioning Leeds" was what I was referring to. Your intention was to garner a cheap laugh (the common anti LUFC negativity on this forum) , which I thought was a demeaning comment about a program exploring several serious issues - as others have identified above.

Otherwise why did you make the disrespectful statement?

Surely that's mandatory in Hull and mandatory. Though it is ignored by some sad inadequates.
