I'm just saying we are a different club in way things are run......bit like when any new manager starts a new club......He got the job because of his past achievements, but now he's here, they have become irrelevant....it's what he does for us that counts.......Every club with every manager, it's the same. Jose was good at Chelsea and because of that got his jobs elsewhere.... but means nothing if he doesn't get on with the setup etc and so no guarantees he will do well with new club... NP is no different IMO, I'm not quite ready to start hailing him a hero or hanging pictures up of him quite yet!!!
You are correct and I suspect that he is more aware of that than anyone else on the planet. However at least we seem for the first time in a very long time to be abandoning a system that was not working of bringing in untried and untested managers and then sacking them and promoting from within and hopefully now we have a manager who is allowed to make his own decisions and Ashton for a change making those decisions a reality, something he should have been doing from day one.
Not a lie.....Everything that Deano did that was wrong was blamed on, what was left by LJ & Ashton .... Why 4 years?, I would have thought a manager of his experience and knowledge it would be much sooner
You expect to change from a third to fifty per cent of the squad and they should hit the ground running?
Lets get some perspective to your quote. 3 players were recalled loaners, City recalled more than that. 2 players were signed before Mcarthy arrived. 1 player was signed by Mcarthy and another signed and loaned straight out the gas. So basically 1 new player down to Mcarthy in his squad.
Didn't show before he got there, but used his experience and knowledge to make it work....................that's why he was appointed.........is my point
And my point he had a far better starting point, a decent squad. I find your innuendo quite strange regarding a squad, who hadn't managed 3 goals in a league match for seven months and won a total of 11 homes out of the 27 spanning a year. And bearing in mind Mcarthy still had part of a window to operate in. I am very interested to see how of our decent squad survive the summer.
