Nah I can’t agree there, Chali is a sick rapper and The Cut Chemist is an unbelievable DJ. Maybe their vibe was a bit soft but they never really claimed to be gang bangers.

Cut Chemist was a sick DJ but didn’t he leave them quite early on ?

Just never really vibed with their MCs. Not just because they weren’t gangsta rap, MCs like Talib Kweli and Mos Def were in that ‘conscious lyrics’ genre of rapper but they had that dynamic between their voices like Tip and Fife Dawg, Eric Sermon and Parish Smith, Chuck D and Flava Flav.

Horses for courses I suppose. Still better than the Beatles though.
