Afternoon all. Not a lot about today but one does catch my eye and I'll try and play up yesterday's winning pennies for the weekend. Bouncy Bouncy looked pretty good in her last race at Brighton coming second to Commanding Presence and I fancy her to go one better today in the 2-40 at Nottingham
Anyone heard anything on Balding's newcomer, Silver Blossom, in the Nottingham 3.45. Really nice looking pedigree and hes' been in fine form in these sorts of races.
Afternoon, all. Nothing for me today but the race of interest has to be the 20 furlong beginner’s chase across the water at Punchestown (4.25). Am very surprised that Gigginstown introduce 2 potentially very decent fencing types in the same heat but it should be a race to savour with an eye to the future. Good luck to those who are opting to ‘surrender their legal tender’ though. Meanwhile, Nass, I fear that your gloomy economic prediction may well be true. Don’t fret to much though, old boy, as we have Mr Cameron at the helm and I’m confident that he will steer us out of the ‘choppy conditions’ and into ‘calmer seas’.
Glad to be back in the fray back from holiday in Spain....really like the look of SONGBURST 4.40 Lingfield NAP others that catch my eye and i think are decent value... MOON OVER WATER 3.45 NOTT LOWDOWN LITTLEROCK 4.50 NOTT FINBAR 5.20 NOTT good luck everyone
Gotta love Slim Jim Phantom with the sticks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWkKS2xr-OI&feature=related
TopC: Looks a hot race and there has been no money at all for it so i have left it alone mate. One that has caught the eye is in the 335 Ling: Makael Magnusson sends His Royal Highness here with George Baker in the plate again. After blasting off LTO and fading close home over an extended mile hopefully today he will hold on to him longer and then come late. The danger could be John Best's Instrumentalist. Some interesting races today if not classy!
I see that there has been yet more money for recent Irish Ces winner Minsk for the 2012 Triumph – now into clear favourite. Is anyone aware who will be training him over hurdles??? Judging by the weight of money am assuming that he’ll now leave John Oxx and have a career over timber.
SBC, I noted that too. I was puzzled as I've seen no confirmation as to who will train him in the NH sphere.
Afternoon chaps just a quick message to say I hope you are all well and banging in the winners. Champions Day should be good on Sat. Regarding Minsk he is going to Dessie Hughes
Thanks, RV. Hope you OK as well. Dessie Hughes, eh? Good news that as he certainly knows what to do with a good ‘un. His handling of Hardy Eustace, probably my fave horse this century thus far, was exemplary.
I am well chaps. Chippy I see that York maiden is producing the goods - Crusade winning the Middle Park and Thomas Chippendale winning yesterday
Take a look at the 4.50 at Nottingham. Suspicious amounts of money for one horse in particular.... Which horse mate as I can't get online to horsey sites in work!
It certainly is RV - funny really because I don't think either of us thought the race was that great at the time. Appearances eh? See if you can guess which horse the minton millions will be going on on Saturday at Ascot
God no - I wponlt be having a bet on that race and will just hope to cheer him home. It's in the fillies and mares race.
