Full planning approval granted & no Govt ‘call in’ of the project. #passed https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-56541316 A very exciting day in the clubs long history this, after 2 decades of various stadium moves being put forward, we’re now finally getting what we could have only dreamed of before the arrival of Moshiri (and his mate )
Looking forward to seeing this stadium built. I just hope they don’t deviate too far from the architects drawings, it would be a real shame.
Haha, it’ll be a sad day for all of us when we leave the Old Lady for the last time, many a year will be shed I’m sure. But this will be a massive lift for the club, the largely derelict area of the North Docks and the City itself, As this £1.5BN project will create 10,000 jobs on its own & that’s without the catalyst effect it’ll have on the rest of the Peel owned site. Being able to have a bevy in town before the game is also a bonus like
The original architects designs (Dan Meis) were revised after the contract for the build was given to Laing O’Rourke. They changed them with their own team and we had to resubmit, which was one of the reasons for the delay. So the images are those of the firm who are actually building it, so there should be little deviation imo.
Meh. Watch out for the "new stadium = more money to compete with the big boys" spiel. Its Worked out well for spurs and the Gooners
Talking of salty tears..... Hello mate. Great news eh mate, what with this and FFP going in the bin, it’s been a great week
Serious talk now. You'd swap the building of three stadiums (fantastic achievement btw) for a few proper trophies no?
Why didn't you then? You've had long enough to think about winning something instead of building stadiums. I wonder what's coming 1st, stadium #4 or some silverware
