    Pleased to hear it.

Lots of colleague have had the vaccine over the past 2 weeks, and most of them pretty unwell for 24-72 hours.

Not had mine yet not looking forward to it. Then again i find going to the dentist as terrifying as open heart surgery, so says more about me generally being a total fanny.

This probably doesn't add much to the overall conversation, but I had my first jab about 2-3 weeks ago, and I've had no noticeable side effects, immediately afterwards, or in the time since. I'm either lucky, or the vaccine is doing its job without causing problems.

So you are reporting that you have nothing to report which is just about as pointless as this posting.

But not as pointless as this posting, or the next several replies. You can tell that we don't have a game this weekend. Or any new cheeses...

On a rather tangential note, one of the 'clues' used to unlock the code behind the Enigma machine was that one German radio operator (possibly in the Sahara, but I'm not certain) reported 'nothing to report', on successive days, each signal varying slightly. By comparing signals, all of which conveyed the same message, people at Bletchley could tell how each signal varied, and used this information to speed up their attempts to unlock the German cipher generator.

I really need to get out more

I bought a selection of British cheeses with my veggie box this week. The Stilton is pretty good, haven’t tried the Caerphilly yet. Wendsleydale was very creamy. Have had better Cheddars tbh. And wtf am I going to do with all this cheese?

I note that Saga holidays have said that all customers must have been vaccinated at least 2 weeks before travel. Understand their stance since any of their customers are in the vulnerable groups....and are more likely to comply anyway.

The sad thing is that I can now go on a SAGA holiday. Though what pleased me was Fats could go on one before I could :)

Let me bore you with a story because I get stuck from my wife whenever saga holidays get mentioned....

so, we were getting married and were thinking of a honeymoon when we saw Harry Enfield’s dad on the Holiday Programme. He went and stayed in a beach side resort with individual villa/huts, connected with wooden walkways and backing on to a forest. Orangutan would come out from the forest and you could feed them... seemed perfect.

so the 29 year old me phoned the number on the screen immediately and asked for a brochure. After taking for a few moments the chap on the phone said. “Excuse me sir, how old are you?”

    29, I told him

“ah sir, this is saga holidays and this is for over 50s only...”

I’ve never been allowed to forget that and now she keeps reminding me that I can go now but she can’t!

I liked it knowing exactly how stressful that image is. Personally I like Vin's version with the beautiful wedge cut out of the middle
