    no i reckon chelsea?bates aparantly still owns stamford bridge freehold!were ok our takeover has been checked into by murray and the previous board --ok weve got stuart cash involved but most teams have a wealthy board member dont they!

    My point is that all supporters are entitled to know who owns their clubs. We don't. It is all smoke and mirrors. It could be the Iran National Guard or Rupert Murdoch for all we know.

    Football clubs are businesses and it is right that they are run as businesses, but they are not ordinary businesses. If we don't like our local Waitrose we can shop at Tesco, but if we don't like the way Charlton is run we are not going to go and watch Millwall or Palace. Football club owners have a captive market and this gives them special responsibilities to their fans over and above companies' normal responsibilities to their customers.
