I was watching this quiz show on BBC1 earlier and the final question was about the classic football 1981 film Escape To Victory. Now the question was "How many professional footballers were involved in the film and their names?"

Forget Stallone and Michael Caine as they are not professional footballers so including some of the great '81 Town side how many can you name?

    Just a bit of fun!

If I remember correctly, laurie Sivell was also a guest on the Krypton factor.
On the observation round, they played a clip from the film, and the contestants were asked to pick out the blonde goalkeeper from the assembled line up in the studio.

Also, <puts nerd hat on here>, I'm faily sure that last season, in one of Man City's European games, a visiting goalkeeper was actually the son of one of the players that played the part of one of the East Europeans in the film, and Mike Sumerbee was one of the guests.

    I'll get my coat now........

Another one I had forgotten! Well done Guru! <ok>

The only thing memorable about Robin Turner was him scoring twice against Bristol Rovers in 1978 to keep us in the FA Cup!

    Cheers JWM!

This has got me thinking, If we are associated with Escape to Victory, I wonder what films the budgies could be associated with?

I'll start, with Grunt Hog what about 'Porkys'

If we stay up this season, I suppose some people will say we were in The Great Escape.
