The Union flag is to be flown on UK Government buildings every day in a bid to unite the nation. Currently flags are only required to be flown on certain days such as the Queen’s birthday. But new guidance from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport will ask for it to be flown all the time in England, Scotland and Wales. Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden described the flag as ‘a proud reminder of our history and the ties that bind us’.

How soon will someone make a dig about "the chains that bound us during slavery"? I can't see this initiative passing through without the usual minge-hurt brigade decrying our part in colonialism. I wonder if this goes for government buildings in Scotland? Doubt the SNP will be chuffed.

Well there is something in that,if I want to go away and a country won't let me in then it becomes an issue but till that arises the vaccine is not something I think about.
