So I'm perhaps little behind on what the convo is, but can answer on Hockey Pens

You can have a Penalty in Hockey, this is usually given when a goal is definately going to happen. So a player is fouled (tripped etc) in front of an open goal or someone stops the ball on the line with their foot (or other part of their body, sounds harsh if its your face but it depends on the umpire). These would be given as a penalty flick, which is similar to a football pen.

However you are right, most fouls in the D and the dangerous fouls inside the 25yrd would be given as a penalty corner (watch one on Youtube if you want to know what this is).
Outside the 25 everything else would just be a foul.

A Long corner is like a football corner, ball goes off the backline off the defender, although the name is missleading these days as its no longer taken from the corner. Its taken on the 25yrd line, in line with where the ball when off.

If we're talking about VAR stuff, in International hockey (only) you get a set amount of reviews, similar to cricket, that can only be used for Penalty corners.

Pen Flicks are fairly rare, you'll probably get 2-4 a season at most
Pen Corners are not, you could get anywhere between 0-30 in a game. In a game before lockdown last October we had about 10 in a row in one game and probably 20+ in the game.

I can't wait for the time to pass so I can bitch about how **** we are gonna be in our next league game

Makes the suspension of the league programme and all the risks of spreading covid and everything worthwhile don't it?

Nice goal from Harry Wilson to put the Taffs ahead against Belgium, but it just delayed the inevitable.
Goals from De Bruyne, Lukaku and Minor Hazard restored expectations. Belgium squad looks really strong again.

Just saw the Wilson goal. Very nice move that and a smart finish.

Bit like our goal v Wolves, one touch football really can open teams up as doesn’t give them a chance to get settled. Been the issue with us recently, taking too many touches and allows oppo to get into position

totally agree. poor passes behind people, take 2 and 3 touches before trying anything etc.

    quick play makes goals.

Yeah, I think we had this convo a few weeks back. The front three, especially, have been cumbersome when the ball has been delivered to them. One, or two-touch, was Bobby's forte - now he looks like he couldn't trap a dead rat. And Mo just seemed for a while to want to turn around, put his head down and run into the opposition like a gridiron wide-receiver. Tbf, there has been less options for them this year.

Haven't been watching, but since when did England play in Blue? Surely the 2nd kit should be red.
