On the same theme as yesterday here three more players who have played for both clubs, but who claims them and any memories of them at your club? As we have games this weekend my next list will appear on Tuesday after we have run out of things to say about the games.
I,m amazed you don,t remember David Kelly.................................. His 10 goals in his first season probably saved us from relegation to the old 3rd division,and his 25 goals the following season,probably got us back into the first division.35 goals in 70 games.....................not bad even if it was the old second division. I think he only left because we re-signed Peter Beardsley
i mentioned these on your last thread i said Venison - yours - flash bastard bit of a dick ok footballer though Kelly - ours - good 1st division striker who made the mistake of empting a bucket of water over Keegan when we got promoted and never played again and was shipped out in the summer Foggon - i had him in the group *ones we wouldn't admit to playing for us* - slow fat and couldn't hit my arse if i bent down in front of him
I played against Foggon back in the day and he was fat, that said he ran rings round me and I'm thin. To be fair I was carrying a bit of a knock, I'd tripped over p*issed the night before. We used to take it seriously in those days...
A good deal of my mag mates though he had earned this shot and felt for him. But come on Peg back was inspired... wasn't it?
I don't know tbh. I have heard of them all but don't know too much about them. I know Kelly is fond of Newcastle - he did a good interview about is a few months back
aye second leg scored a minute after coming on i think but then again frank pingel scored against Liverpool doesn't mean he was good
find it hilarious that they make mag free threads as they said mags kept ruining threads and the like,then one of their lads makes a good thread where no one acts like a tit and discusses the topic then a ****ing numpty who unfortunately happens to be a mackem goes and ruins their argument. Not tarring the rest with the same brush been some decent crack on both this lads threads and the more threads like this the better.
I will always try to start good debates between the fans of both clubs and in the main we are all grown up and we just ignore those who are still children no matter what their age. I will continue this theme next week and post it on both boards and once we have run out of players who have played for both of us I will try to find other common interst threads either about both clubs or even just about other sports in the region.
