I used to wear shorts and go barefoot pretty much through most of my 20's and 30's. I'm at that stage of life now where gore tex is my friend.

Found this place this morning. It’s an old ‘wink’ or illegal pub. Built right in the middle of a bog back in the 17th century and a haunt for smugglers.

Due to the location of this place. It would have definitely been one of those places that folk didn’t want the feds to find.

Crazy how many little spots are dotted about England

its why I always loved travelling around Wales, all little things like this dotted about the nooks and crannies.

I've binned off a few match day pubs in my time, having to wait for a pint.

Yeah I love all the old **** dotted around.

I know people take the piss about my rock fetish on here. But I'm surrounded by some ancient sites around here that date back nearly 6000 years. Burial chambers, Stone Circles, etc. I think it's pretty fascinating and a real link back to our ancient ancestors.

It is interesting. There's stuff in Britain so old that they were ruins when the Romans turned up.

There is a ghost story attached to this place. Apparently a bloke walked in, sat in the corner and wouldn't leave when the 'landlord' asked him to drink up. So he went to move him and the bloke disappeared into thin air. Reportedly another drinker said that this man had been doing this for the last 50 years since they buried him nearby.

Also, that place in the winter would be ****ing boggy as ****. I reckon a few folk would have met their demise in those bogs, stumbling out of that place on a dark, misty and stormy night.

I'm surrounded by it bro. Literally on my doorstep. West Cornwall has one of the densest population of Neolithic sites in Western Europe
