Nord VPN is generally considered the most reliable. I use Avast! but it doesn’t really matter. If you’re gaming online, Avast is good for anti-DDOS, but if you’re streaming it can slow down your PC a little, whereas Nord doesn’t seem to.

Use a trial to find which is the best for you.

Like deja vu all over again!
Windscribe has been fine for me. Free version, like most, is not enough if you are using it regularly, but annual cost is fair enough.

I use NORD too, my only grumble would be having to re-enter log-in details in after Windows updates sometimes but that could be Windows fault - importantly their support desk is very good for non-tekkies like me.

VPN unlimited, they had an offer on a few years ago for about £17 for lifetime, so bought it. It seems to be working fine, I’m in Paris at the moment.:emoticon-0105-wink:

Thanks fellas, i'd read on here some of you lads talking about them in the past and got an offer today for £26 for the year which is half price. Wasn't sure what they was used for to be honest and I don't go on dodgy footie streams anymore.

What are they used for? I’ve no idea

I don't know much about them either Chazz but I had to get my daughter to set one up for me the last time I went to Lanzarote.Nowadays it's illegal to use online gambling sites when you're over there.I use Bet 365 for example and when you are abroad it won't allow you to place bets(something to do with Spain,in this case, blocking you from gambling for tax purposes,I think?).

Anyway, she set me up one of these VPN's and it worked fine.I think it 'tricks' your connection into believing your somewhere your not? This is a very crude explanation and is probably wrong but that's what I used it for and yes,I'm a fairly sad individual going abroad and having the need to gamble.:emoticon-0103-cool:

Edit:- The post above is probably clearer.LOL.

Unfortunately when I had my VPN region set as France, I logged in to my TigerTv account to pay for a game in iFollow, the account wanted to charge me £5 instead of £10. I of course logged out and turned off my VPN.

I do actually have a problem with using a VPN, I can’t use it on my smart TV (or find out how).

I can’t get other VPNs to work as I am on Virgin Cable Broadband and they all drop out after a few minutes. It appears that Virgin Media has a problem with them.

Norton doesn’t get effected.

Have to do that when my Samsung tablet updates.
