yeah I've got Dubside of moon, and copied a mate's radiodread - will buy a hard copy or hint to the kids for a crimbo present. I think dubside is the best of the two though, just genius and works perfectly, when you think it shoudn't do at all.
The thing is, I bought this because I was watching X Factor (sorry, I had no choice at this time) and the 'contestants' were murdering her songs at the auditions and my girlfriend said she'd never heard of her! So I bought 21 for her and first put it in my car to have a listen to. I must confess, I like it. A lot. Am I now middle aged?
if you're middle aged mate that makes me yoda! must admit admit as contrived as XFactor is the programme is far better with the current judges/format than before. If the general public just see it for what it is, that is pure weekend entertaiment, then that's fine. It's when the programme gets taken out of context for sourcing/showcasing genuine musical talent it loses any credibility. It's a bit of fun and that's it. if you people want to see real talent, go to a gig, or BUY some music!
That's it mate, I've actually watched it this year and the reason is entirely down to the fact Cowell and Cheryl Cole are no longer on it. Plus, I've not got much choice as she watches it and I'm not too keen on going sitting in the other room. As soon as she dozes off, which she always does, I turn over anyway!
Spot on I watch it because the Mrs loves it and she has to put up with MOTD and other footy etc.. I see it is a Saturday night family entertainment show, that's it. The only decent music show on TV is 'Later with Jools Holland'... Also in response to Ruff - Anyone that recognises musical talent can see that Adele is extremely good at what she does. I'm 32 and always been into reggae, hip-hop, trip-hop, etc etc... BUT I do like Adele. **** sake lads we're getting old
Anyone who can write such lyrics and then sing them with that voice is worth a listen, no doubt at all. A genuine talent. She is actually the perfect antidote to what X Factor produces. Over the years me particularly and also Tunns have been the most anti X Factor but I'm agreeing with what both of you said, it's not too bad this year. Even though it is manufactured pap. It's down to no Cowell and Cole though, I hated the pair of them passionately. Get Danni back on instead of her from Destiny's Child and we're in business. (Still prefer Strictly though)
