I'm all for civil rights and peaceful demonstrations should never be denied in a civilised world... but we are still in a global pandemic, like it or not, and massed gatherings should not be taking place until it is safe to do so ... mindless violence towards the police force is both disgusting and completely unnecessary and should be met with the most severe punishment with no exceptions. I'm with you mate it's disgusting. The police have said this morning, the protest and violence are two completely seperate things. The protest was peaceful, however, it was hijacked by thugs with a different agenda. They said they have superb camera evidence of those responsible and during the course of the next few hours and days, they will be carrying out arrests. Maybe we need to build a few detention centres and deprive this scum who are nothing but criminals of their civil liberties. Police have also said, it don't matter what this was about, it was people living out (criminal) fantasies.
