I'll cross that bridge if we get to it.. It's not looking great right now, but if we can pick up a couple of wins before the last 2 we'll have a good chance..its encouraging
Football is like pornography! The worse it gets the more desensitised you become. I'm ready for anything there's not a single footballing disaster I'm not prepared for these days.
Mike Ashley's a complete dick and a bit of a **** owner, but his negative influence on Newcastle is exaggerated. You were vastly overspending before he took over in 2007, so your results were inflated but you were heading for bankruptcy. You had 8 top six finishes in the 15 years before he bought the club. You also had one season outside the top-flight and finished 13th 3 times. Don't get me wrong, you could definitely have a much better owner and one that respects the fanbase more. He's not in the same bracket as the ****ers at Hull, Blackpool and the like, though. Mediocre and uninspiring, like Bruce.
He's an awful owner and unfortunately you've got to live it to fully understand it.. Just like anything in life it always looks different on the outside. The clubs been destroyed slowly and painfully.. I hate him, but I accept we could've ended up with the venky brothers. Rangers fans saw it coming otherwise they'd have been next.
He's terrible at PR. Plastering Sports Direct everywhere, changing the ground name to it and talking a lot of bollocks. Doesn't appear to understand the fans, at all.
He's a cheap shop owner and they don't spend anything on maintenence.. He does everything as cheap as possible and that means there's not one area the club excels in... I mean everything feels and looks cheap.. The strips, the sponsors it all adds up to a miserable existence. The thing is he finally started spending on players for the 1st time ever without selling them too , but rather than give it to rafa he wanted him gone and trusted Steve Bruce with it... He went out and paid 6.5 million to get Bruce too... Then there's Joelinton! It honestly feels like it's all one big joke now... The takeover story broke and you thought thank **** 13 years and he's finally gone praise the Lord and then you fund out you've all been melvined once again and then a year on you're facing a 3rd relegation..
Disappointing to see Sheffield United wearing pink for no reason but I remain positive about their chances here.
I can remember a couple of people on here arguing whether Brewster or Nketiah was the future of English strikers...
