Okay, with all the top four drawing yesterday, we have not lost position, but nor have we gained anything. The old adage about "a bird in hand, worth two in a bush" Or points on the board v games in hand. The games against Hull and Peterborough become even more season defining. They are both playing well so we will have to be on the top of our game to have a chance of winning. Nerve wracking or what... Still these are the games to relish, to prove our mettle and deserving of promotion. No midweek game, but away to Bristol Rovers..Next Saturday. I hope Blackpool win midweek
You'd think so but they only won one game from five this month and lost to Burton ... ... at the beginning, of March, they were 10 points clear of us and now it's two. I'm not saying it won't be a hard match but I'm sure we're capable of winning.
The no midweek couldn’t have come at a better time for us, the break will do the lads the power of good, and we will likely have extra couple heads back. We looked jaded as **** yesterday, similar to when we go to the final under Ross, but we were endless 2 games a week that time.
Hmm not sure we were that leggy... Lincoln played a high energy game well and by and large we matched them. Burge made some great saves. Having said that there was always going to be a Wembley hangover. What Lincoln worked hard on was stopping crosses, obviously not all... but they limited the supply. I suspect other teams will do the same... when is Hume fit, could be just what we need for the last 10 games, him and Jones.
I have to say I think it's mental rather than physical. Since Johnson arrived they've had to absord endless information and raise themselves for a semi-final, a final, Portsmouth away, Lincoln at home, Accrington after a Wembley win, etc. Tbh their heads must be spinning and, to top it all, injuries keep forcing changes. I'm in a similar situation and it feels like my brain is being slowly fried.
