I'll give the new guy a free hit on that. Butwe looked good to begin either, and it felt as if Jacko turned to Nigel and said 'hey, Bows usually switched the wingers round now. Try it, it'll flummox 'em'. That and expecting our league 1 defence to play it out from the back! I know we're unbeaten, but we are also pretty poor at times. Ah well, two weeks football free to charge the batteries I guess.
We've been watching it for years, it even precedes Bowyer by a long time. We tip-tap the ball around the back 4, no midfielder to pass the ball to, back it goes to Amos, who, under pressure, lumps it anywhere, and back it comes. When we had Cullen things improved in that respect, but we don't have anyone now who is prepared to do what he did. Apart from giving the ball to Millar who runs the length of the park with it, the only way we get the ball upfield is to hoof it.
