FA Cup is f*cking easy. Haven't even conceded a goal yet this season. Good luck to whoever we get in the Semi - Man City and co don't stand a chance!
Great confidence boosting win and into the final 4! Now a few weeks of hoping our players don't pick up injuries on international duty as normal and with any luck we will have Ings and Walcott back in a few weeks too. If we can start turning in first half of the season performances then anything is possible. It's just two games.
So what have we had confirmed today. We are a good side Redmond and Djnepo can play VAR in its current form is **** Stuey never stops running We create some very good chances Hoddle is a twat And we are going to Wembley.
Still pretty annoyed about that. Mostly fuelled by jealousy and frustration so we have to pity him I suppose.
Southampton's Nathan Redmond speaking to BT Sport: "We had aspirations of getting [to Wembley] at the start of the season. It's a chance for us to put the league form behind us. It's important we came here and got through to the next round. "We were trying to be in control of what we knew we could which was to limit their style of play. It was always going to be a tough game. "It was something for us to always aim for. We knew we wanted a cup run this season. It's good for us to get into the next round going into the international break where we can work on a few things while some of the boys are away. "Our morale has been pretty good regardless. We know each other well and how to get the best out of each other. Today it clicked so hopefully we can end the season on a high." On his goals: "This season I've not ran at people as much. I'm trying to figure out why. I had one thing in my head which was to get the team up the pitch as quicky as possible. I tried to get a yard and to shoot and thankfully they went in."
It was a very first half of the season performance, TBH I think a few were still rusty against Brighton after just returning from injury. Stuey was superb today and would've been MOTM but for Redders. KWP just gives us so much on the right too.
To be fair to Bournemouth, it must've been hard to motivate themselves today. Without a potential replay at St. Mary's there wasn't really much for them to play for.
