Spain is a terrible example the Moors lived here for centuries but since they were sent packing, its not a fun place to promote Islam............. The point about the card is, a picture of Jesus on a Christmas card is a good thing.... A child could replicate this and end up being murdered by fanatics... Why can you not illustrate Mo??????????
I love my food in all honesty, and I am a mean cook (though I do say so myself) anything chinese, Italian, Indian, carribean etc But there are certain points that are a barrier, smell is one
I didnt realise you wanted to 'promote' Islam You cannot illustrate any human/animal. I know some do but shouldnt. children however do not come under this, so no probs The thing is that making cards etc is just as alien/strange to soke people/cultures as not doing may be to you We dont illustrate jesus either
depends on your interpretation of 'feared' tbh were people afraid to mess with the muslims at one time? yes was he evil etc NO all reports (even by his enemies) showed him to be kind, generous and merciful

ramadan isnt about muhammad, also the 'card' concept is a western thing. mainly a commercial opportunity See the difference between christianity is that everything is based around jesus. birth on christmas, crucifiction at easter. so his image on cards is understandable Islam isnt about Muhammad in the same way so eid is about feasting and the second about sacrifice (based on abraham and his son) ramadan is a command from God
we have 2 eids and 30 days in ramadan we also have prescribed things for child birth etc so quite a few 'happy' days we get gifts etc not cards. Our days dont revolve around commercialism and capitalism we dont do mothers days and fathers days and grand parents days, as they are special every day. i buy my mum and dad stuff regularly not just a card on mothers day etc
