Have a strong inkling that Grant knows he hasn't got enough left in the legs for championship football and will retire this summer.

Needs to be kept as a coach. Watch his efl interview a few weeks before the final. He talks of standards of being a SAFC player and how they weren't being met when he arrived and how he's determined to change that. Love the lad. One of us!

Lincoln fans mostly predicting us to win 4-0, read one saying it could be a cricket score to us. A few predicting a win for them - but, considering the general tone of their posters, these seem to be the optimistic-to-the-point-of-lunatic fringe.

I am going for a 3-0 win, but maybe as much as 5-0 if they end up playing Liam Bridcutt at centre back.

Matchday mornings feel good again now. There is so much to enjoy about them now - waiting for the team news and thinking about LJ tactics, the chat on the matchday thread, Danny and Frankie build up, the match and even the after match interviews. Obviously I am looking forward to pubs and turnstiles opening but for now I am enjoying them like this.

Exactly how I feel on match days now. What a contrast to a few weeks ago, when I struggled to drum up the enthusiasm to actually watch us, because the footy under Parkinson was God awful.

It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me and I'm feeling good.

    Great thread as usual RTB.

I can’t see anything other than a win for us today looking at recent form of both teams. Only 4 points from their last 5 games is very poor form for a team tipped for promotion and I don’t see their slide halting today.

Appleton will have them up for this no doubt but it’ll be another comfortable win for us and another clean sheet.

2-0 to the Lads, Wyke with both goals. HTL.

    Big un today.
Rochdale won their last game and fighting to get out the drop zone.
Can they get a result off Peterborough who have lost a few recently ?

Shrewsbury have games in hand and a slim chance of the play offs. Although Hull are on a good run.

Lincoln look in disarray and we are in excellent form.
If all goes our way today we could put some light between us and Lincoln and jump Peterborough to 2nd spot leaving us and Hull fighting for 1st and 2nd.

After the cup win I was nervous of the next two fixtures but we've shown we are capable of grinding results if not at our best.
    Fingers crossed today.

Great thread again RTB, another Saturday and another important game for the Lads. Lets get a win and keep the pressure on the teams around us, I'm going for 3-0 but I'd take a scruffy 1-0 as long as we get the 3 points.

    Ha'Way The Lads.

Dont think he plays as an orthodox centre back. <laugh> I actually rated him when he was here, tho' many didn't, he was MoM on his derby debut up the road playing as a defensive midfielder if I remember correctly.

Carling Premier watch: none in Home Bargains next to the tip unfortunately. However, they have some nice 330ml cans of Red Stripe retailing for a paltry 55p per can, so I procured 10 for today's entertainment from the red and white wizards. On a side note it's an absolutely stunning day on Wearside. Clear blue skies and warming up nicely. Cracking day for football and I hit a load of green lights on the way over to get the cans :emoticon-0103-cool:. HTL
