She’s doing fresh mussels in a spicy tomato sauce tonight, serving with some crusty bread.

I’ve just learned something as it goes, she was tapping them on the side of the sink,I was like wtf? Apparently if they don’t close when you tap them, then they’re for the bin. Who knew.

 

I always just throw away any that don't open after cooking.

 

That’s what I said, but apparently if they’re live you do the tappy thing as a double safety measure. A Rick Stein tip she tells me.

 

I love mussels haven't been to Southern France in a while now, just love sitting in a place overlooking the ocean with a big bowl of mussels and a glass of Chablis.

I simply don't do spam or corned beef. Neither would ever get past my door tbh.

What you see is salami, Garlic sausage ham, chorizo. Coleslaw, salad cream, mustard cheese, tomatoes, spring onion, salad.

 

Garlic sausage ham = upper class spam.

can do but I wouldn’t....think it takes away from the keema but I’ve seen it done before.

I don't get it mate. You don't do spam (understandable) you don't do cornbeef (hmmm) yet you eat that salami shhite!

Your wrap looked ok by the way, if yer had chucked out that sausage/salami shhite.
