Again festival form is all important.
You only need to look at the form of Minella Indo with Allaho, as well as the form of de bromhead this festival and it is obvious now this horse should have been much shorter in the betting.

I know weve just had the 2021 Gold Cup run but next years race already looks like it has the potential for a classic...!!!

Don't worry, I was in the same boat last year...

Hindsight and all that, coupled with the fact Henry's 2nd string horses have been running really well all week too...

And well argued too, which I don't do most of the time because I have a hard time writing in English.

Poor, poor ride by young Bowen on Bob And Co, paid the price... Don't know why Ruby is complementing him, as well as calling him Harry Cobden :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Delighted for Biddick though! Especially seeing as he stopped Mullins! Hopefully Willie wins the next with Elimay and then doesn't win the last :p

Yes, very good race, but sometimes the first idea is the one that counts.

You know your hunters. After my write up last night I went back and had another look and had my third bet in the race on PORLOCK BAY. I was convinced we had the beating of the Irish in this department this year and so good to see some of our younger trainers doing so well in the race.

The Irish have shown this week that their NH racing set up is just at a completely different level to their UK counterparts. Its not just the expensive superstar horses, or the biggest yards either - from top to bottom they have just bossed this festival and I can see this level of domination lasting for years to come. Nicholls, Tizzard, Skelton have been nowhere near and Henderson had 2 winners courtesy of 2 freaks - one (Shishkin) winning and the other (Envoi Allen) clipping a fence allowing Chantry House to take the Marsh. Trainers like Hobbs and Twiston-Davis just can't compete at this level any more and it makes me wonder if, a bit like Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now, their methods have become unsound?

If you fall I will catch you, I'll be waiting...

I did the same, had a good luck and backed them all, came up trumps with the winner in the end.

Why would you send your horse to a GB based trainer? Mostly crap prize money. Irish NH racing geared much more towards quality.

Wanna get Dan Skeltons view on this, he knows the score <laugh> most bitter interview I've ever saw a trainer give a few weeks ago. Nothing but excuses. But you're spot on Oddy <ok> the so called big British trainers have been going downhill slowly but surely.
