Don't think he was upset by that. Far too strong a person. Back in the 1970s and early 80s there were two blokes who came from Cornwall every home game. Used to stand at South Stand end of the Well.
Some effort that. Especially in the 70s and 80s. I cringe at the prospect of having to drive down to Cornwall - even with the road improvements.
Tbh I’m not doubting Castro but in the 70’s from Cornwall It seemed to take about 20 hours by car back then when I was a kid!! Can’t imagine all the different Trains you’d need to take would be any better
They did. Think they used to stay with family in Hull overnight. There was an article in the HDM about them at the time.
Trainline - 'The average journey time between St Ives (Cornwall) and Hull is 11 hours 29 minutes. On an average weekday, there are 9 trains travelling from St Ives (Cornwall) to Hull. The journey time may be longer on weekends and holidays'. That's quite some commitment, if you wanted to do it now, you'd have to leave Friday morning and get back Sunday night.
Been a couple of years since I went to Cornwall but it was cheaper and quicker to fly. I recall paying £75 return.
Tough game. They’ve got a real incentive to raise their game to give Cotterill a boost after release from hospital. Can’t let up now City. Tight.
I’ve been wearing the same yellow Brazil shirt for the last 5 games, haven’t washed it so starting to look more like brown than yellow lol. The ****ing things we do when we’re superstitious. I used to get the hull daily Mail at exactly 2pm when the teams are posted but we went on a losing run so I stopped that. I once put my phone, computer and iPad in the garage so I didn’t get a score reminder from the BBC sport app and wouldn’t look at my phone until full time, that went out the ****ing window also. Sod it, what will be, will be !!!! COME ON LADS ....
Top man Pete, I'd like to have seen gobshite bet welcher Essex Gull turn up (as he promised) to face the ex-Royal Marine Pete.
