I couldn’t care less about the penalty. To lose 3-0 is a complete and utter embarrassment. I am totally embarrassed to be a Spurs fan right now and I won’t make any excuses for the team about penalties we should have got
It’s just laughable. How did we end up like this? Daniel Levy has out-spursy’d the definition of spursy-ness with the decision to appoint Mourinho. it’s a long road back from here, chaps. And there’s no way Levy will get it right. We’re ****ed!
I must have dozed off and missed it. This was never, ever, ever going to work...ever. It was doomed from Day 1.
One if the direst performances I've seen from Spurs. The substitutions made things worse. The only midfielder we have with defensive discipline is Winks. Huge whole in the middle once he left the field. Full Ardiles at the end but we didn't try to control the ball...just booted it forwards. Mourinho is not doing what he said he would so should go.
And just to take a bit more of the piss, Villarreal have gone 1-0 up in the second leg and 3-0 on aggregate In other words, at least Juan Foyth can say he is playing for someone who knows how to use a 2-0 first leg lead
Only when we were top of the league but I never really believed it would last. When Mourinho said we were like a pony in the title race he was right we are complete and utter pony.
Their manager is in prison and they still beat Spurs. If I wasn't a Spurs man, I'll be laughing all the way home.
The matches after lockdown last season and the spell at the beginning of this one were about 20 matches in total where we got well over 2 points a match. But Mourinho wasn't the right appointment. Sacking Poch was also wrong though.
They were **** under Sherwood too. I distinctly remember the defence, and specifically Jan, Rose and Walker getting pelters at the time. Meanwhile Kaboul got off scott-free because he'd been injured for so long. Those players went on to be crucial parts of the best team we've had in decades whilst Kaboul was let go, with sympathy for the injuries, but absolutely no one thought he was good enough. It's the same now, "these players aren't good enough, pick Vinicius/Bale/Dele/Rodon", we've all fallen into it but it doesn't matter who's picked, we get the same. The ones that aren't playing must be the sane ones, whilst it's the lunatics out on the pitch to blame. If Tim showed us anything, it's that **** managers can make excellent players look awful. The players go out there with the manager's instruction and it's about time we lay the blame solely at the manager.
So are the Lunatic Fringe going to own the fact they were demanding the ubermensch replace Poch eighteen months ago? Of course not
Nobody is making excuses, but if the officials did their jobs properly we don`t lose the NLD and qualify in the Europa, no matter how shiete the performance is, these decisions influence results.
Except it was over 210 minutes, and we also conceded 3 to West Ham in 10 minutes. Perhaps the manager should have worked out how not to capitulate in that time.
Hopefully Levy and Lewis do the noble thing and follow Mourinho out of the door. This club is going nowhere under ENIC, they have taken it as far as they can, which wasn`t very far.
