Between 60 -100 for an adult is fine for a resting heart rate.

After my blood clots last year, I’ve become a bit paranoid about blood pressure, oxygen levels, heart rate etc.

Do you go and have that MOT check at the doctors ?

I started doing it a couple of years ago after I had high blood pressure. It’s fine now, and looking back I think it was probs stress as it was right in the thick of when my old man’s dementia was getting bad.

Good to keep on top of all of those things though, especially when you’re 40+ The check is pretty thorough and will flag any issues before they turn into a heart attack or stroke or anything scary like that.

I do have a yearly MOT as part of my private healthcare package. My general health is very good. Like most I could do with loosing a few pounds and my diet (especially when travelling for work) could be a bit better, but I do regular exercise and don’t smoke etc. The clots came out of the blue and I’m still having a few issues 6 months down the road.

    Ha

    I am between the two!

Trying to lengthen stride with more knee drive but tricky to change technical elements at age of 49

I'd like to get close to sub 40 10k again but doubt it!

Alternating run days with cycling/yoga to improve flexibility

Bit worried about my TFLs and knees. How is your body after a run?

Not too bad if I take it easy.

The shin splints reared up again a bit last night, but then I was on road the whole time. I'd just rather be on trail, it's less boring and easier on the knees and shins.

Everything else is ok at the minute. Bound to get a niggle soon though as i'm definitely too old for this stuff!
