So one thing's going to be exciting ahead of the second leg: speculating who will be in Dinamo's dugout, as the Croatian Supreme Court has delivered their verdict against Zdravko and Zoran Mamic over their tax evasion, and let's just say that Zoran will have a few things on his mind other than team selection...
To be fair, they also tried emulating Man Utd - by siphoning funds out of the club into their bank accounts I think that's the real cheek of the situation: they treated the country's leading team as their personal ATM, yet didn't pay tax on what they took out of the club. Who's the club chairman, Cruella de Ville?
please log in to view this image Thursday 18th March 5.55pm Europa League Round of 16 Stadion Maksimir The less said about that **** on Sunday the better, so now we're back to the Europa and it's the 2nd leg of a knockout round. We've got a decent win and a clean sheet at home from the first game, but it's not an unassailable lead, by any means. The team needs to approach this professionally and try to win it, in my opinion. Trying to do just enough to get through is asking for a disaster and this competition is very important. Will Mourinho go strong for this one or rest some players? Dinamo had a comfortable 5-0 with over Varazdin on the weekend, a phoenix club that's only existed for 9 years. They're currently 9th out of the 10 teams in the division though, so that doesn't really tell us much. Have the highlights anyway, as there are no other videos on this bit and I'm shocked that I found them: Much bigger news came in the courtroom, as their manager Zoran Mamic got a jail sentence forcing him to quit. He has currently been replaced by Damir Krznar, his former assistant. He filled in as caretaker for Dinamo before in 2013 with Mamic, prior to the latter's permanent appointment. Lo Celso misses out again, while Son joins him in the treatment room, though it's not as bad as it first appeared, apparently. Hojbjerg misses the match due to suspension, having picked up a 2nd yellow card of the competition in the last match. Moharrami is the only absence for our hosts. Lineups for each side's last league game: Spurs: Lloris; Doherty, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Reguilon; Ndombele, Hojbjerg; Bale, Moura, Son; Kane. Subs: Hart, Aurier, Dier, Davies, Winks, Sissoko, Alli, Lamela, Vinicius. League form: LLWWWL. Dinamo: Livakovic; Stojanovic, Lauritsen, Peric, Cabraja; Misic, Franjic; Atiemwen, Majer, Orsic; Gavranovic. Subs: Zagorac, Hajrovic, Ristovski, Ivanusec, Kastrati, Petkovic, Tolic, Burton, Jakic. League form: WWWWWW. Ref: Davide Massa (ITA). Serie A ref that's been on the FIFA list since 2014. Reffed Chelsea and both Manchester clubs this season to mixed results. VAR: Marco Guida (ITA). The whole reffing team are the same nationality for this one, which isn't always the case. TV: BT Sport 1. How would you like to line up for this one and what would you change from the last ****show of a game? Would you stick with much of the same lineup, make a few changes or go for a wholesale switch? Which system and tactics would you use and what are you expecting Dinamo to go with?
Højbjerg needs time off and I expect him to travel but not start. We should also look to rest Kane IMO, but definitely take him in the squad. genuinely don’t care who the CBS are because they’re all ****. For me: Lloris Doherty CB CB Davies Sissoko Winks Lamela Alli Bergwijn Vini I’d take the strongest bench we can but hopefully not need them.
Even better Have been so pissed off since Sunday I’ve barely thought about football that happened before that shower tbh.
Hugo Tanganga, Sanchez, Dier, Davies Sissoko, Winks Lamela, Dele, Bergwijn Vinicius Wouldn't be surprised if we force Son to play just to fully ensure we really tear his hammy whilst Kane will probably start as well and then be generously given 5 minutes rest at the end of the game.
Maureen will still find a way to play him. Don't be surprised if you notice someone running around the pitch with this strapped to his face:
I admire how he is doing everything in his power to be ranked below Christian Gross in our list of PL managers.
Christian Gross knocked Liverpool out of the Champions League. Admittedly it wasn't with Spurs, but still...
Alternatively, this is confirmation that we are throwing the towel in on the PL and putting all our eggs in the EL basket. With our form as bad as it is and Son out for 6 weeks, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case.
Apparently the prognosis for Son is a lot better and he may even be back for Villa. S Korea have called him up for the Internationals which I hope and expect to be resisted.
One problem is that if we rest Kane, then there's no way that England will. They still might not, of course.
