Been for my yearly MOT thing at the Doctors. 2 year actually as I didn't go last year due to lockdown. Happy to say that I'm in decent shape. They measure: Weight Blood Pressure Blood sugar Liver function Kidney function Cholesterol Red and White blood count And all came back fine. Need to drop a few kg but I knew that already. This 47 year old crate is holding up okay given the years of abuse from caning class A's
Last time I had my blood pressure done it was 118/78. Just checked my resting heart rate, it's 52 bpm. I think i'm ok for a fat ****. Did 4.5 mile run last night, the only problem is getting bored, no way can I be arsed to go any further than that. Need to just do three 3-4 milers a week and i'd be happy enough. Really want to play squash again though, **** knows when that will be allowed. Not sure my knees and shins would thank me though.
That’s what I do mate, three 6/7k runs a week. Occasional 10k Enough for a 49 year old I do some sprints and tempo runs within the 6/7 to stop boredom twice a week. And then one run as a time trial all one pace Have you tried sprints, hill climbs etc to stop the monotony of pounding along
There's a long hill on one of my routes when I'm at home the weekend. Proper killer. There's also a steep hill up to my house as well, which is a nice finish. When I'm here at work though it's flat as a pancake.
I dont think you're talking **** tbh but according to this thread we've got the fittest 40/60yr olds on the planet all in one thread. My arse
Well I've never claimed that! I might well be able to run 4.5 miles but it was only just and it wasn't ****ing quick.
