The fact remains they are well in contention with Bayern for the Bundesliga title, which says to me they are a good side.
Hmm ok so a team is poor defensively because of a few individual games instead of looking at the total for the season? Not sure how you can argue against this - they're literally up there in terms of not conceding goals this season. You wouldn't have guessed it based on the displays against us but it's facts.
Whoever won in that final game between RBL and United would progress to the knockouts. RBL won. United out.
did you check who they played? I did. btw they are goal shy this season, 6 goals is top scorer. comelte different beast without werner. mugs? no. that good? nope.
Lolll not saying they're world beaters. Just saying they're a decent side. They qualified from a tough group in the CL, which victories against PSG and United.
Mate, RBL were that **** that over the two legs, especially the second, we missed enough open goals to have run up a cricket score. That Umpalumpa is just a modern-day version of Titus Bramble - quick, strong, good in the tackle, but with the control of a house brick and the passing accuracy of a rapidly deflating balloon. What's scary is that I confess that I was hoping we'd buy him in January, simply based on the reports of him, as opposed to watching him. I truly think Sheffield United gave us a harder game.
I said that RBL was like a poor man’s version of Leeds United. When they are good they are great. When they are bad they are horrid.
decent? So you are judging this lot of anything but what you actually saw against us? you do know: a) PSG lost 2-1 v leipzig after conceding a pen stupidly and a red card after it. b) Psg beat them in the return game c) Utd hammered them 5-0 in the first game d) utd lost 2-3 that game was actually crazy as utd went and lost to the crowd from istanbul and then compounded it with a red card for fred. and v psg and put themselves in trouble. they played 3 at the back at the time and were all over the place and were 3-0 down lol.. it was funny but they got back to 3-2. The 3 at the back created miles of space for angilino to play behind AWB Then for german league: frankfurt draw Freibrug win monchengladback 3-2 win Herth win Augsburg win shalke win Leverkusen 1-0 Mains won 3-2 in january. I wouldn't exactly put that bunch of clubs they are beating on a pedestal either. The fact is leipzig are nothing more than decent. Their big cbs would probably do well in england but they would seriously struggle to get goals in this league with poulsen and forsberg in the side. The real story is utd threw that group away with poor form (losing to instabul was crazy), indiscipline (what was ogs doing leaving fred o nthe ptich that night), and then a poor forwation choice that threw them into disarray for 45mins. We've benefitted but theres no point bigging up leipzig. They are a bit of a unit in terms of height etc but were there ofr the taking. As I said no disrespect to us but wbeating them cannot translate into the league, any decent side should have seen enoughto negate our forwards enough that our missing the target will give them a good chance at a draw and then any pace at all should hurt us at the back. I am hoping we can build on this little bit of good news by keeping fabinho in the middle and keeping jota in the side and its more about adding two good players in good positions backi nto the line up than anything else. Phillips and kabak are an accident waiting to happen either through pace or through ball watching. We should all know it.
maybe put is a rich man's leeds as red bull are another billionaires play thing project but yeah, well put.
I was thinking kurt Zouma or carlton palmer myself, or our legendary torben Piechnik. He's a big unit and quick but he looks like he's got mistakes in him. As i recall piechnik could neither control a ball or pass it 5 yards.
