They have to "sterilise" but imo a main dealer = valet as well for the price.

You probably got the iron clad jobsworth treatment. You paid for service so you got x. You were in on warranty you got nothing.

I have a brother in law who was a BMW master mechanic and set up on his own. Got all my servicing done for parts only prices but the count wouldn't clean the car too ;)

Cleans all the bmws though cos they pay him.

Yeah it was a parts warranty fix so all in on that, thankfully. I mean, a spark plug is a few quid but they would've rinsed me on the labour otherwise. Rather have a slightly dirty car than shell out another wad to them. Don't know how they missed the problem first time around. Maybe you can hook me up with that brother in law :emoticon-0105-wink: probably be paying the labour cost in fuel to get it to him I expect. I will have to look up other options to the place I've been to (national AD) for the next service

Not sure this will get a reception here... maybe doing you all a disservice..

What I witnessed last night with the reclaim the night vigil/protest appalled me... after a week of the police literally repeating the Yorkshire Ripper crap ...

Its them protecting their own once again....

    Scum

I'm unsure what comparisons your trying to cone to here, the lad being arrested and what happened at the "vigil" bear no relation to each other.

On the vigil, they where told to disperse, it was against the rules for containing the virus, surely your not suggesting they get differented treatment for being women?

Haven’t seen an awful lot of it.

from what I gather they were told not to have a gathering as it’s illegal, they went ahead and had it, and police turned up abs made arrests?

Comparison mate? The "ladies better stay at home" that Comparison

Another Comparison... both our lot and the rangers fans went out during lockdown.. police took photos but stayed back or in the case of Rangrs escorted... then fined

These women were at least holding a visual at most a protest... about men .... at the very worst abducting them in the dark.. police response? Do that very thing.

Mate... it's the same police identity... cover your own ... that happened with the miners, the football fans that led to our own awful calamity.. the girls in Yorkshire... I can go on...

This is all on the eve of a bill that will take away all our rights to protest.... anything... at the whim of the home Secretary...

So yeah mate. My actual Comparisons are spot on

Just push that tinfoil hat a bit more firmly down mate. You wouldn't want any reality slipping in.

They where told the gathering was not allowed to go ahead, they where there all day, when they where finally asked to move on, some refused so some where arrested.

There's plenty of **** the police get upto that causes outrage, this isn't it. Your reaction seems personal rather than analytical.

As for the protest Bill and any change to police powers, it depends on how its used.

not sure about the covering their own. That would be the case if they hadn't promptly already arrested the officer and have now charged him.

You could say they "covered" for him when he indecently exposed himself but how many people do that and aren't fired (i suppose you could hold a higher standard for a police officer) let alone prosecuted.

As for the arrests - i personally think it's been mishandled and maybe just let them get on with it but having not seen the event myself, i don't know what decisions were made and what happened at the vigil for it to escalate

Look there were enough blm protests that were let go.

This was no win for the filth but they royally ****ed up hitting the sobbing Instagram twats.

As a misogynist I feel it should be noted that the person who really suffered in all this was the poor man who didn't have his tea on the table last night or worse had to mind kids when they were arrested and didn't come home.

But you know us white males, we are so privileged we rarely think of anyone, nevermind non existent husbands.

In any event, how.many died in Myanmar yesterday protesting for freedom while the cops arrested a few vigil holders?

Don't know why but thought you'd already got a dog. Guessing you've already told us you were getting this one and that's probably what I'm thinking of.
