No we are not. We will finish over 40 points. I'm happy to bet you £50 on it if you're interested.

Brighton deserved the points and we have no excuses, Ralph needs to get us back to basics and rediscover the high pressing, high energy football that was successful. If the squad is knackered then we have got problems moving forward because we simply can't win playing slow possession football.

Yet another truly pathetic second half performance, what happens at the break? Whatever it is I would suggest RH changes it because it is such a habit now someone surely has to do something

Outplayed at home by Brighton. Nobody can be satisfied with this outcome. Our current form is not sustainable and although Ralph still has my vote, l believe that Ralph needs to step up over the next few games and get this team playing again.

You know, at the risk of sounding like a WUM - That was absolutely, totally and utterly not good enough.

The players and Ralph do get some reasonable and correct leeway in this absolutely ridiculously poor run because of the nightmare spree of injuries and pants ref decisions, but today was inexcusable, absolutely pathetic dross.

Nothing less than six points from the next three is good enough imo and because of the positions of the sides we are facing, three more of those performances and we are in the relegation scrap.

That is up there with failing to turn it around against 9-man Newcastle for worst result of the season for me (I don’t count the 9-0 because that was a freak).

I don’t want Ralph out, but he needs to sort this out because we are not far off full strength now and that was a disgusting performance.

Brighton were good as many of us expected. I was disappointed with the Saints performance though. Not just the fact for the majority of the game we were quite sloppy and barely created a thing - but the lack of urgency was really frustrating. We didn't look like a team desperate to get the equaliser - we almost looked as if we were sitting pretty with 40 points and our league season was all but over.

I don't think we will go down but we are in the battle and certainly not safe yet.

Where are we going to get the points specifically?

If we can play that bad we can lose to anyone

We’ve got to stop being this inconsistent

Ralph has said for weeks he needs the international break to really work on things with the squad. We haven't got another PL game for 3 weeks now so here's his chance. No midweek games. Just one game a week for the foreseeable. I'm not massively worried about today. We were poor 2nd half, our passing and control let us down but Brighton aren't as bad a side as their position in the table suggests. They played well, credit to them. They made us look poor which some people don't seem to understand. And 1st half we weren't bad.

I don't get why people are surprised the squad is tired? We had 10 players out injured for a few weeks, 3 games a week+, and play one of the most intense styles in the league without access to recovery methods due to covid protocols. It's disappointing for sure, but there's a reason why.

I do agree, but I’m not sure that we have the legs to press as we did before. For me, the last few games we’ve seen teams sit high against us as they know we will play out from defence and keep the ball rather than play in behind. That’s an area we need to work on. Mix it up a little mid game. If we had started to turn Brighton with balls in behind with our pace up top, then that makes the opposition think twice about playing high.

    Just a thought.

I reckon we'll beat West Brom, Palace and draw with Burnley. 40 points up within next 3 games.

We need to turn up and play. Just checking my finger nails, not sure they're going to last 9 more games. There's no way I can so get dejected like some, but the way we're conceding goals, barely able to score more than one goal a match, my mental state, football wise, is being sorely tested. Give it a week or so off the PL and then let's see. Bournemouth? Well.......... ?????????
