Adam Idah is out with a hernia and Farke said that there is a small fear that he may need surgery, which would be a blow for a player whose season has been stop start and not quite exploded as we hoped it might. Ben Gibson hasn’t trained this week with hamstring trouble, so he is a doubt. On the positive side of the fence, Orjan Nyland and Marco Stiepermann are both fit and ready so the competition for the number 10 position will now really hot up. Number 10 is the one position that hasn’t really been nailed down by anybody and the return of Marco “I was born to score goals” Stiepermann will be interesting to watch. We’ve had to wait for Nyland but it seems likely he will now be on the bench going forwards to support Tim Krul. https://norwich.vitalfootball.co.uk/another-big-weekend-but-norwich-have-injury-worries/
After this weekend's results I'm nervous about this game now. We have to win to keep that distance between us and the chasing pack.
Still 7 points clear of 3rd whatever happens tomorrow. Even if we lose the next 4 games we'd probably still be in the top 2/3. And we've only lost 5 all season.
You're right, of course. Good job I'm not in the squad - I always assume the worst. EDIT: If we can get past the three games in six days and still have that gap, I'll start to relax. (I hope!)
Vrancic is the obvious replacement and Dowell needs minutes. I like Stiepermann but I fear this could be his last season with us if we get promoted.
We went from All The Germans to just Rupp and Zimmermann, the absolute bargain and mostly brilliant signings Farke brought in were the spine of our team but Srbeny Frank who was a dud Leitner Trybull and Fahrmann have all been let go . We went from just Max as our only Englishman in the team to playing Gibson Cantwell and occasionally Hugill and Martin Mumba also coming through and young Riley brought in for the future. They command much higher transfer fees so that's good business.
Gibson gets a yellow. Could have been a red. Rhodes scores from the poor defending. No surprises there. **** it
