... unless you are an ex-POTUS advocating greeting women by grabbing them by the fanny, of course ... and therein lies the real issue.

Aye that's true it was pretty standard.

Women used to pinch the lads arses too it just wasn't seen a big deal.

These days alot of women go around dressed like barbie dolls while saying they don't feel safe.. Give me a break and dress down a bit then. If you're starving and someone throws a cracker in the middle of the street it's going to get eaten.

Grabbing a random woman by the pussy is always going to be wrong and Trump got away with that **** because people thought he was too powerful to be challenged. Same behaviour leads to Epstien, Saville, Prince Andrew etc.

But the sliding scale of winking at a woman, to raping and killing her, seems to be getting lumped together in the same conversation, as if one naturally leads to the other. And I'm not sure that's helpful.

It shouldn't, but unfortunately it does and there's rapists and murderers out there they're afraid of, so use your common sense..

Not all are doing it, but if you're going to dress like a slut you'll get attention you don't want.

I can see both sides of this. It's like the bloke Tel mentioned handing out $100 bills to health care workers, and he gets jumped.

He's not in the wrong for handing out the money, and it's his right to do so, but inevitably it's going to attract unwanted attention.

I don't think how a woman is dressed should ever be a green light for a bloke to harass her. And women should be able to wear what they want without fear. But there is inevitably going to be the issue of a woman attracting attention if she's dressed up to sexualise.

Exactly mate... I mean unless they're going to somehow produce a vaccination that removes sexual attraction and of course with it the human race then this 'problem' women have will always remain, so what do you do? You try and look after yourself and use your instinct experience and common sense to avoid troubles, but unfortunately safety cannot be guaranteed.

What somebody else is wearing is never a ticket to help yourself. But high heels are designed to push a woman's ass out, and red lipstick is designed to mimic sexual arousal when the lips are flushed. So inevitably that might attract unwanted attention.

If you go to the other end of the scale, some middle eastern countries make women wear a Hijab, or full face covering and loose clothes, so as not to sexualise them and 'tempt' men. That is taking things to extremes imo and chastises women, through the weaknesses of men.

Let's be clear here, it's always down to people to take responsibility for their own behaviour towards others.

There's nothing wrong with admiring glances ... but it stops there. WTF does "dressed up to sexualise" mean? Young girls dressing in fashion?

If a bloke can't handle seeing something he can't have, just because it excites him, he needs putting down. It's not the girl's problem. <doh>

    You're not getting it.

There's rapists and murderers out there.. We're not talking about normal folk being able to handle seeing it.

It's almost as if people think they can stop these people existing. They exist.. They're different to us and have always existed along side us, so you've got to be alert because they need no excuse to kill you.

As I've explained. High heels push a woman's arse out, red lips mimic sexual arousal. That's basic physiological cues for sexualisation.

As I've also explained, that isn't a green light for a bloke to help himself, I'm just making the point, that like it or not, it will inevitably attract attention.

Fosse fighting for women’s rights after dusting half the East Midlands during the 70’s is like watching Ronald McDonald stand front and centre at a vegan’s animal rights protest.

... all willing and met socially with every chance to not reciprocate if the attention was not wanted ... no divine right (even though blessed with divine looks and charm) ... plus moved to the South in my 20s ... only in Leicester before Uni and a couple of years after ... <cheers>

Loads of banter (just not your prescribed take)... and just not keen on factual inaccuracy... wasn't just the women of the East Midlands that were lucky ... sorry if that upsets you ... but you'll live.
