i am fed up with coming on a 400 mile round trip to watch a bunch of wuss's who have no idea that a football match consists of 2 halves. in april i watched shrews nearly throw the second half away to relegated stockport and saturday history repeats it self.
where do i start, smith is a better goal keeper than neal, just, sharps is not yet match fit or has lost form big time, morgan was not with it on saturday. gornell made 1 and scored one, why was he taken off and not morgan. well done matty richards, i admire the pace of lionel ainsworth, but not the haircut. man of the match for me was either gornell, ainsworth or the ref. i think the ref just made it. a win is a win, but we did not deserve a win, and on this form, crawley will hammer us. i suspect they will not.

great to see matster and shrewd chemic in the railway on friday, i hope to be up again in april if town recognise 2 halves make a match, and lionel starts again with the barber!

Agreed, Sharps was not, erm.. sharp, which might explain SCS's reluctance to get a foot in. As a whole, the team seemed to lack confidence, but I'm sure they can get it together for the big games (I can't believe I'm describing Crawley as a "big game"). Smith needed a rest, but it was bad timing, the back line looked shaky & weren't communicating, hence Barnet's softer than soft goals.
I disagree with the comments about Morgan though, he worked his nuts off for the team. If only everybody else has worked so hard at pressing & closing down. Ainsworth might have got the winner, but he was missing for large parts of the game, often playing too deep. If only he worked as hard as his stylist.
Looking forward to Crawley. I wonder if I can get an Easyjet flight home?

I would disagree about Ainsworth as he is our key man at the moment - his incisive running and crossing is terrifying teams - we can afford for him not to chase back too much but we cannot afford two players like that and Wrighty is not doing enough going forward at the moment to justify his place in the team - just compare his number of assists to those for Ainsworth.

I was bemoaning Wrighty after the match but realised that he scores goals. Assists / Goals - they're both important. He did miss some good chances on Saturday and can often do that, kicking a ball wide of a nearly open goal or chosing to pass to an ineffective choice.
