I'm just saying your a fking tory sexist bellend. Nowt paranoid just an observation........now let's talk about a mess....who's suicidal me or you Mic down enjoy your anger at women's rights
Yeah I’m still going with it being a ridiculously counter-productive, over the top tactic. But it’s nice we can debate it civilly.
Why is it that when you disagree with someone you can't just have a different opinion and be civil? Why does one side have to just to saying the others sexist or racist or something like that? Surely there's two sides to the debate and you'll get people edging towards one side or the other?
The intention behind the vigil was commendable but the timing was ill conceived. That said, the differing police responses to this gathering and the Rangers fans celebrations where the illegal gatherers were provided with a police cordon for a massed march through the streets does need to be reviewed. One distinctly light touch, the other heavy handed (to say the least) ... and, given the different reasons behind the gatherings, totally the wrong way round.
Maybe in the short term it isn’t. Maybe, like with BLM, it’s something people just feel that strongly about they feel they need to do something visible even if they’re wrong to do so but it’s not really the point. The point is that there were options for how to react to it and the police, on someone’s orders, chose to react as they did. Given the circumstances, that was abhorrent IMO.
It was a manageable situation. The rangers crowd could only really be controlled in a certain manner... What did you want water cannons, a full scale riot potentially and not enough police elsewhere dealing with other crimes? Also I don't know for sure, but you he bet your bottom dollar that there was a few arrests.
I mean, this screams how much you hate yourself and your miserable existence to me. Anger on levels rarely seen on this forum. You know there are therapy sessions you can attend for this sort of behaviour?
Yeah but it’s my point, and it’s probably the most important part of the discussion. 67 million people or 7.5bn people are up against the biggest pandemic of a lifetime and every small action has the potential to lead to a much larger-scale reaction. Tell me how the police dealt with this in a bad way when there’s a raft of unvaccinated folk bounced around ICU’s in London in a few weeks time. The point is bro, there’s a bigger picture. The virus makes no distinction on mourning a victim of police brutality or a murdered girl, with a crowd at Cheltenham Festival.
Not enough police elsewhere is wholly down to government policy.. not Covid transgressions... More police on the beat would deter the type of parasitic predator that just ended a beautiful young life ... that, combined with societal attitudes to the obectifying of women being challenged much more will help ram the message home to the type of twat that still thinks that yelling gratuitous sexual remarks towards women they see in the street is acceptable or "just a bit of fun".
I don’t see how wading in violently helps if the goal is to reduce Covid transmission. The original plan was to have people pay their respects for a short time and move on in small groups in an organised way. They’ve brought this upon themselves.
Indeed ... the most serious breaches of social distancing occurred when hands were laid on protesters by the police
What helps is staying at home, like 120,000 families have had to do when their dead relatives have been buried. Not standing in mass gatherings during a pandemic also helps. But the police are to blame here completely. What are they even ‘feeling so strongly’ about anyway, genetics?
To be fair to the opposing opinion, the women on the vigil, did handle it all wrong... Instead they should have declared it a Loyalist Victory parade and they would have been welcomed with a police escort.
That's true, but it is what it is isn't it, so your comparison between the two was floored and I felt I'd address it that's all. I don't agree.. If someone wants to kill someone they will, but more police on the street would certainly help I would think that might make them feel safer, but guess what this killers a policeman and he's not the 1st.
No, the most serious breach of social distancing measures is a mass gathering it’s why entire industries have been closed and police have not been banned from arresting people. What’s the local R value of a mass gathering with one or more infected super-spreaders?
