Does anyone else find the way barca and spain play football really really boring? I respect the fact that they can play that way and have the ability to do so but I just find all that pissing around the penalty area trying to find a pass for an easy 5 yard finish bloody boring! Just me? Or does anyone else find it dull?

Errr, no. It's great football and unlike the old Italian way of playing, at least the Spanish have an end product and usually quite a few goals. Barca are the best team I've ever seen.

It's pretty exciting, and yeah Barca are probably the best team ever. I'll never forget the Deportivo team that won the league in 2000 though. That was stunning.

Spanish footy dull?...you are obviously not old enough to remember Arsenal under George Graham, even the Gooners had their own ironic chant...:emoticon-0118-yawn:
On a side note, did anyone see Garath Bale's volley just now?...shame it hit the bar, because it would have been the goal of the season.

This precisely. Only reason I prefer watching MOTD to Revista is because I know more about the players and teams.

Agree with you.The way spain play football is a blessing to everyone on this blue planet,I love watching them play it's just so good.
I understand that people find it a bit boring but try and focus on the ball, focus on the pre meditated passes the rapid movements from all the players, the runs from the full backs, the quick interchanging in midfield,it's an art form.Tiki Taka.Muy bueno.<applause>

I agree with you 100%. Foreign football is boring. It hardly brings you to the edge of your seat does it?? No wonder the atmosphere is always awful during foreign games - they're half asleep! It also really pees me off the way they dive all over the place like little cry babies! Man United play the best club football in the world IMO - a nice blend of quick, attacking, passing football with a physical side to them.

The Germans are the example for international football for me. <ok>

Right, whereas if you sit there baying mindlessly as the ball gets hoofed up to the box it really sends a thrill through your veins.

Its views like this that annoy me. As alien as it may seem there are more than two ways of playing football and I enjoy a way that injects a bit of pace and power into the game with breath taking box to box action and both goalies doing all the can to keep there team in it. I love the way man united play and wanted them to win the champions league because they play the english way! Lets face facts England as a country don't have the players to all that fancy flicks rubbish! Lets do what we do best and use a bit of raw pace and power with the odd step over thrown in to have a really quality game! A prime example of this would be Germany on a international stage and obviously United on a club level stage.

agree, Germany and Man U are teams I'd prefer to watch. But then I would like to see Spain and Barca actually put to the test more often.
