Move to see Fulhams advantage on goal difference narrowing.. We could turn that in our favour if we beat Brighton.
Fulham really have to get results on the next 3 Leeds, villa, wolves If they lose those 3 and we beat Brighton I think we're going to be ok
The game in hand situation isnt worth much because it's away to Liverpool in April. We really need Leeds to beat Fulham on Friday and for us to win one of what will be 2 games in hand at that point. Leeds are a funny side, but they're fading with very little to play for... I think Fulham will win that
Enormous. If Brighton fail to win at Southampton, Fulham lose next week and we beat Brighton....then it's unlikely we'd get relegated. We have a hideous run of fixtures coming up but our key players will be returning. Currently I'd put our chances of survival at 40%; positive results next week would increase that to 75%. Hugely important week.
As soon as Marriner was the appointed ref I said a City win was nailed on, a self fulfilling prophesy if ever there was one. This is the third time that we have had this ref, and in each game he has awarded a penalty to the opposition, that said we were the architects of our downfall, three sloppy goals against the best side in the country is unforgivable, still we still have a superior GD to you. Time to forget this one and move onto Leeds next Friday.
Most important game in our history Aye we must stay in the PL ****show, trying to endlessly keep our heads above water. I’m struggling to care any more. Teams appear determined to keep us up. It would be typical of Bruce to snatch a victory after getting outplayed against Brighton. Then Mike will sit thinking lovely jubbly, cabbage head stays.
The next most important game in our history is in an hr. I think GG is right because its possible if we stay up we become the richest club in the world and if that happens that's most significant day in our history for sure.
The most important game in our history was 1992 - Portsmouth. Brighton is just important to keep us in the PL.
IMHO Mike decided this at Xmas, then checked out completely leaving the club to rot under the "leadership" of Lee Charnley and Justin Barnes. It's my further opinion that Ashley takes what he's told at face value and nobody ever tells him he's wrong. My heart sometimes tugs at me, telling me that I should want a win, to "survive". But it's an almost imperceptible token gesture. Football is in such an embarrassing state - City now 17 points clear, ffs, with UEFA's answer to the threat of a breakaway Super League effectively being to create its' own breakaway Euro Super League. When I look rationally, do I want to waste time on it anymore? Or emotion? The sensible answer is a resounding no. So looking at it objectively, relegation - maybe two of them - is perhaps the only hope we actually have for this once-alive club. If it looks League One and acts League One, at some point that's where it'll end up and deservedly so.
