Apparently he is quite a polished speaker. Let's hope he can stamp out any dissent.

I've seen this photo so many times and just love the way the tea ladies are totally oblivious of the game

It's noticeable how much younger the crowds were back then, compared to a few decades before and after.

I really miss standing at football....<wah>

I went to one of his evenings With, even though I only watch the start and finishes of F1 , Murray should have finished at 10pm he finished at 23.15 he was brilliant , witty and charming and a wonderful knowledge of F1 past and present, RIP Mr Walker <rose>

Like any sensible chap, his first and greatest love was motorcycle racing. His father, Graham raced and was a broadcaster on bike racing.

Was he the last of the great commentators - Alliss, Bill McLaren, Harry Carpenter, John Arlott, etc.?

    RIP.

As soon as I saw the image I knew members of this board would be interested in it, I used to usually stand to the right of this picture but years later moved to the paxton end of the shelf ( we could stay longer in the pub)
On the less well attended games standing behind the goal we were attacking and changing ends at half time

Judging by the photo + barrier arrangement it must
have been an opponent who could not muster large
numbers of away support (the Spurs supporters are
spanning at least two thirds of the Park Lane)
