You would be able to understand it when you get a brain transplant. In a nutshell my point is, Man United have two hopes of winning on saturday...No hope and Bob Hope. They are more than likely going to recieve as big a hiding as they did from Liverpool in March, and their first hiding since Barcelona beat the crap out of them.
Please stop. You are jinxing us, you might not beleive in that way of thinking but I just get a feeling of dread everytime you post that.
I think it has to be Gerrard and Bellamy, if we play two players that are really not that mobile it will only help United. I want players who are going to switch positions, look to always receive the ball, pass and move. They have some injury problems in the back and we really need to expose that. We need to show United what type of free-flowing footy we are capable of and the rest will take care of itself.
Gerrard in beside Lucas, definitely. Bellamy on as a sub second half to run Evra ragged, not a bad option to have on the bench...he usually skins him. My three subs would be Bellamy, Carroll and Henderson on for, Gerrard, Adam and Downing.
In all honesty i'd rather not see Adam up for this one, he's neither the quickest runner or most accurate passer we have. Both of which are needed for this match. I understand playing him when we need to outmuscle a team that plays hoofball but against a top side like MU I'd go for Lucas and Gerrard. Two weeks is a while for someone without international duty, given that he's back to playing even 20. Hopefully he plays 60 or so minutes. Then i'd replace him with Adam or Henderson. For me, it would be --------------Reina------------- Kelly-Agger-Carra-Enrique-- ---|-------------^-----------|--- ---|-------------|------------|--- ---v---------- Lucas--------v-- ----------------------------------- --Kuyt-----Gerrard--- Bellamy ------------------------------------ --------Carroll----Suarez------ In this system, a 4-1-3-2 of sorts, Gerrard, Kuyt, and Bellamy would provide support to Suarez and Carroll, with Enrique and Kelly running up to cross. Lucas and Gerrard would in that case drop back to support the defense and avoid a counterattack. this gives us strength on the wings defensively and offensively, with Lucas and Gerrard left to crack open the middle. However I'm not Kenny and probably for a good reason. Still it would be interesting to see this.
-----------Reina----------- kelly--Carra--skertl--enrique ------Lucas--adam--------- Kuyt-----Suarez----Downing ----------Carroll------------ I would like this, but am now always really nervous about starting Lucas and Adam alone in midfield after the spurs game... I would play -----------Reina----------- kelly--Carra--skertl--enrique ------Lucas--Adam--------- Kuyt-----Gerrard----Downing ----------Suarez------------ Idea being that we have lots of leaders, lots of people who can poach/take their goal opportunities, lots of movement, and plenty in the midfield. Players like Carroll, Henderson and Bellamy will be key in the run of games after this one
^ this is if Gerrard is good to play- otherwise possibly swap him with Henderson or Spearing- sounds odd but we really need plenty in midfield
I see KPR's being his normal prickish, deluded self here. It'll be sweet to see him squirming come saturday
After yet another thrashing by Liverpool at Anfield. Ferguson will be drop-kicked out of the ground..He will however land on something soft.....his head.
need to start Kuyt in this fixture all day long. His work rate will be key in disrupting Utd. Along with Suarez defending from the front is key.
Are you sure about that. It seems you've developed Rioferdinanditis and have ''forgotten'' what happened in March. The only beating you got that was similar to the one Liverpool gave you was given to you by Barcelona.
This coming from the man who predicted Spurs would be nowhere near Liverpool this year, conveniently 'forgetting' that Spurs did the double over you last season
Swarbs. Who is above who in the league again? Correct me if I'm wrong, aren't Liverpool above Spurs in the table? Before you mention their game in hand, its points on the board that count? Spurs will be nowhere near Liverpool and thats due to their managers short-comings.
I was refering to Liverpool and Spurs. However, Man United will be brought down to earth with a bang at the weekend when they get a similar hiding to the one they got in March. This one will be just as painful.
