Watched it yesterday and my gawd I'd need a sponsor for golf balls stood on that 17th tee .. just shows they don't need to be massively long holes to cause problems .. its a flick with a wedge or 9 iron yet you can see how it messes with their head space. That poor bugger that had an 11 my heart went out to him .. and Kevin Na has withdrawn after an 8 there claiming a bad back .. not surprised swinging that many times on one hole ! Lol. Gripping stuff

Great work, Lee. Up there with the best never to win a Major.

Let's hope Lee can keep this form going into the British open, I would love him to win a major at some point, though time is running out to do that. Darren Clarke his big buddy did it at an older age, let's hope he can replicate that.

I guess the difference is no one ever expected Clarke to win a major (including him). Maybe, hopefully now we dont expect Lee to win one.
Having said that, is he a Blade or a Massive?

He's a Forest fan and sponsors & supports Worksop Town where he is from.

I'm not so sure no one expected Clarke to win a major, certainly, at the age, he did win it, I would agree, but earlier in his career, he certainly was good enough to win one.

That's ok then. Lee's likeable because he's always had that 'bit of a lad' label (whoever he supports) Would love him to win one.

Indeed, as I said in an earlier post I once had a chat with him and he a really likeable character with no airs and graces about him, just one of the lads.

Remember getting 1% extra interest with Santander thanks to those victories. Lucky to get 1% in total interest nowadays.

Nice to see Lee doing the business yesterday and some of the scrambling he did would make the best of them proud .. couple of years back they would have been bogies for sure .. just shows how he has worked at the weaker side of his game. Also nice to see 2 northern lads sitting at top of the pile .. although Fitzpatrick is a blunts fan he is still a great golfer but my hopes and prayers are for Lee .. followed him since Faldo left the scene and his personality is fantastic. Be nice for him to get one over on his old mucker Billy Foster as well tbf.

Back to back rounds on this monster of a golf course without a bogie on the card .. incredible testament to his scrambling skills, and course management. There are some bloody good golfers up there though so I suspect he will need at least another 68 to take the trophy home.

All square with thomas and westwood ... In the same group as well to make it more interesting

Are they in the same group ? ... Ive just got confused as westwood just drove and now thomas is putting ... or did I just catch it with the both on the same hole
