Can someone tell me if this series v India was hastily arranged because the South African one was called off, or was it always on the itinerary?

Completely pathetic from England. First by letting India get so many runs then yet another collapse. Bairstow needs to be axed from the test squad permanently.
We actually need a whole different side for Indian tours. Just pick players who can play spin and who are patient. Totally at odds with our normal approach to test cricket.
Actually, Bairstow is one of the players who usually play spin well. I think the idea of “resting” players and bringing in players who haven’t played for a while is ridiculous. Going to India is always tough and you need players right at the top of their game ..... we didn’t do that
PSL to resume in June. I'm assuming County players will not be returning to complete it as the T20 Blast will be taking place.

I can't see it having any impact on domestic players. But it might limit which overseas players are available to play in the Blast. For example, we can probably now rule out getting Shaheen Afridi back.
