Fair enough, I didn't know that happened and obviously if I was aware it was that raw I'd of worded it a lot different.
Men are the victims of violence from people that they don't know a lot more often than women, IIRC. The perpetrators are almost always men, though.
Not sunk in with everyone yet mate, I can't ignore it all But soon people, like you have, will adjust.
Oh I definitely agree the perpetrators are most commonly men. But the fact I feel both genders (and non binary) are at a risk. I don’t engage with any female regarding this topic as they’ll just say I don’t understand as I’m a bloke haha
You'll probably find men are attacked more, but I guarantee things like drunkeness and such contribute a lot to that. A lot of woman are attacked and don't report it too, quite common with rapes. But, when I had a girlfriend in England and she was out with friends, I would be worried about her safety. Nutters are out there and its serious. I understand Jess Phillips sentiment, but as always with Jess its quite often an extremely emotional response without the logic to support.
I think it's a problem like Stranger Danger was. You should alert people to the threat of random lunatics, but they're less common than abusive people that you know. I've yet to see a sensible solution to the problem of nutty, murdery fruitcakes and I'm not sure there is one. Increased funding to policing and mental health issues would help, of course.
For anyone interested to read about the topic I was referring to, I've found an article covering it... https://www.theguardian.com/politic...omen-killed-in-britain-in-the-last-year-video
The streets are dangerous and it doesn't matter who you're or what your gender or ethnic origin is because you've just got to be in the wrong place and the wrong time. Stay safe mate you've obviously got a good mam btw cos she's still looking out for you.. everyone needs to look out for eachother, but they don't and your parent always will
Better understanding of it all is a big plus. That would require the infrastructure within the authorities to support people who do these things, better understand it and therefore spot patterns. We've gotten excellent of finding a criminal once a crimes committed but struggle to spot one before they commit the crime. Of course that takes also a willingness of the would be criminal to come forward too, or make a mistake before they act. I honestly have no idea Gonna go back to watching **** on YouTube and let the coppers deal with this ****
Copper arrested on suspicion of murder is alleged to have commited indecent exposure. This was reported 3 days before the girl went missing. I think they said coppers that were meant to be investigating this claim are now under investigation themselves to whether they responded appropriately.
Clearly lots more to be told yet, by the seems of it. It was in a fast food restaurant he exposed himself. I'll see if I can find any article on it.
Here we go, an article on it... https://www.standard.co.uk/news/cri...-indecent-exposure-investigation-b923646.html
Bit more detail, soz it's The Sun but they seem to suggest his firearms licence should have been revoked and suspended from duty (if he'd been arrested for indecent exposure)... https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/14310271/sarah-everard-police-wayne-couzens/
